Overview

What this project needed to solve

Recognizing the crucial need for English skills, particularly for 12th-grade students in Software Engineering at SMKN 1 Purwosari, ELSEN was developed as a mobile application tailored to improve their English for job readiness.

Elsen stands out as one of the best projects because it directly addresses a critical educational gap, offering a practical solution to enhance English proficiency among vocational students. The app provides tailored content to help students prepare for the workforce, focusing on job interviews, CV writing, and job application emails.

Interactive features such as speaking exercises, vocabulary quizzes, and progress tracking empower students to confidently navigate the digital landscape and succeed in their careers.

One of the significant challenges encountered was ensuring the app aligned with the existing curriculum and that the content was engaging for students. These challenges were addressed by thoroughly studying the current curriculum and adapting the app's content to meet both educational requirements and industry needs.

Reflection

What this case says about how I work.

Start from the real workflow before deciding the interface structure.

Make system states visible so users know what happened and what to do next.

Write interface copy that reduces follow-up questions, not just fills empty space.
